About

Edward Michael Sleigh, M.A.

Therapy here is aimed to create a working relationship with you, based on support and comfort. From this place, we can process the areas of life together where you feel disconnected and uncomfortable. Couples who are struggling to manage conflict will learn skills to bring calm to the tension, and provide space to improve their communication. For those lacking closeness, we can develop awareness and build on strengths that will change the interaction patterns and deepen your relationship. Ultimately, we can work to enrich your relationship by applying the specific solutions that foster the thriving dynamic you want. Individuals who are navigating life changes, or dealing with symptoms of depression and anxiety, are welcome to explore these feelings and related behaviors. When stressors prevent us from realizing the fullness of who we were created to be, we can pause, find our sense of belonging, and then press forward to achieve our goals. I believe you and your relationships have the potential to make the world a better place. You matter, and I would love the opportunity to work with you to help you be confident in yourself and your relationships. On the personal side: I was born in Canada and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where I've always gone by my middle name, Michael. I completed a B.A. in Social & Behavioral Studies at George Fox University, then moved to North Carolina to help with a church plant. There I completed a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pfeiffer University in 2018. In my leisure time, you'll likely find me doing one of the following: riding a mountain bike, roasting coffee, detailing a car, playing a game with my four kids, or cracking a dad joke in hopes to make my wife laugh. If you're interested in working with me, please click Request Appointment to look at my availability online, or call 458.899.7032 and leave a message (I try to return calls by next business day). Sessions are available near downtown Redmond, Oregon (in-office or walk-and-talk), and by telehealth for residents of Oregon and North Carolina.
